- remove function mkcubeplot (not used; could put it back in a separated .m file)
- add option to write global input files in compact format (=the default);

o original Levitus has points of exact zeros
o averaging has (rare) cases of exact cancellations

Adding and modifying matlab scripts which hopefully are now
self-consistent in dealing with original grid shift and transposing bugs.
